A little history
In 1988 two young guys had a vision of a jewellers that would strip away the smoke and mirrors of the jewellery trade, a shop that promoted great jewellery designers in an environment that was broad minded, honest and creative, where clients could be involved in the process of creating gorgeous jewellery.

20 years ago Jess & James both aged 23 opened the doors of their Soho store to cries of derision from the jewellery trade. Where was the carpet? Where were the counters? And why was there a whopping big fish tank? Luckily the fashion press were kinder to us and we soon got a reputation amongst the creative community of Soho for having wonderfully innovative stock and offering expert and honest information on commissioned jewellery. James has since moved on and the store has expanded but the original objective is still in place. To create and promote great jewellery in a welcoming and honest environment.

Service
Everyone claims they offer great service, so why are we any different? Well the seed for Jess James came from a trip I made to buy my girlfriend an item of jewellery 20+ years ago. Strolling up to the door of a jewellers in Bond Street dressed in bike leathers and helmet in hand, I was stopped at the door and politely informed that couriers should use the rear entrance, I explained myself, only to be told that I was not appropriately dressed to enter their store. Since then it's been my mission to have an accepting and open minded jewellery store where dress, colour, sexuality or haircut doesn’t determine how one is assisted. I still aim to serve as I would wish to be served and it seems to be appreciated. If you are interested in an item of our jewellery or even in commissioning a bespoke item please feel free to try it on and ask questions, ask as many questions as you want. We remember that our customers have varying levels of technical knowledge and as most of us are trained jewellers we are here to offer plain English un-patronising advice.

Without any form of sales based commission at Jess James you will only ever get unbiased advise and if you change your mind having got your jewellery home, as long as it was not a special order you can always exchange it.

Guarantees Jess James style
Diamonds can shatter and occasionally jewellery does break, we don’t offer an unlimited guarantee on all that we sell but we accept that jewellery holds a very special place in its owner emotions and therefore we will work with you in resolving any problems that arise in the same manner that we would like to be treated. As a referral based company we are totally dependant on your glowing recommendations and we wouldn’t achieve those by coming up short. As long as your expectations are realistic I will always aim to satisfy.

EXCHANGE POLICY
Should you wish we will exchange or issue a full credit note for stock items returned within fourteen days of purchase Items must be unworn, in perfect condition and accompanied by the original receipt. We are unable to exchange any commissioned or specially ordered items. We are unable to offer refunds.
